flyinglama, the point is that Hyena is Revenant, because Rev has 'brand new design' against wraith's obsolete design. As you mentioned, ShankTank wrote about it in the first post.

I actually think the Wraith design is pretty cool for its age (although it could certainly use some texture work) and I agree that there should be a lot more Wraith variants. But the Wraith already has one specialized faction variant while the Revenant and the Ragnarok have none.
One of the biggest problems in the game is that there just isn't enough equipment variety. It is my view that every ship design should have at least 3 different specialized faction variants and every faction should have at least 5 different specialized ships and 3 specialized pieces of equipment (PCs, Heavy, and Light Weapons).
Anyways, I picked the Revenant for a few reasons: 1) it looks pretty badass 2) it has no specialized faction variants and 3) I didn't want to pick the Ragnarok, right now, because it doesn't look pretty badass. One might say, however, "But the Wraith has only one variant and the Revenant has three!" and that is true, but keep in mind that 1) the Wraith has a specialized faction variant 2) the Revenant only has crap base variants and 3) keep in mind that the Revenant took the place of the Wraith base ships.

I suggest to leave only XX faction standings requirements. Both Corvus and XX reps requirements don't look really RP wise, because if you leave Corvus requirements it will be too suspicious for XX reputation.

It's well known that Corvus and Xang Xi are in collaboration, pirren.
And, in-game, the faction you need isn't displayed, it only says "Specially sanctioned personnel only."
Sounds very silly, but... maybe add duelist or racing badges requirements? Or some other badges that are not in use?
No. If duelist or racing badges are ever required for anything, it should be for something specifically designed to duel or race. Furthermore, those badges are still in a testing phase and shouldn't be used for anything yet until the kinks are worked out.
