Can a 60/s drain ship break the 230m/s speed limit?

Many ideas for CV/SVG buffs have been sitting in the dust for a long time. Serco need a ship to chase with, the SVG used to be one of the best at it, and the CV is developed by Corvus, used by pirates, and needs some sort of chase buff. This is about making both the CV and SVG max speed 230m/s (and the middle child XT 225 m/s?) while still keeping the 60/s drain. I know the devs always go on about how they don't intend to make 230m/s ships but balance is certainly a factor for a 60/s drain ship.

Most of the time people try to make appeals to decrease the energy drain of both to 55/s, but frankly I'm sick of it all. The current max velocity in the game is 225m/s and the only ships that can go that fast are 50-55/s drain ships... creativity much? I have an idealistic saying when it comes to fighters: "Dogfighting, stamina chasing, or sprint chasing; pick two." (yeah, I know, there's one kind of ship that breaks this rule... but I won't rant about that right now) but when making ships it seems there has always been confusion in thinking of both stamina and sprint together as the same thing. Any objections?

240m/s with 62/s drain would be a good complement to the greyhound.

As I recall, pre-nerf the Warthog TD was the fastest ship in the game...with the highest drain (65, I believe). Unfortunately, it was hit with the nerfbat along with everything else, and is now no faster than the MkIV.

As much as I'd like to see an 'interceptor' like that again, the precedent seems to be that faster ships just aren't going to happen, no matter how high you make the drain. Unless the devs spontaneously decide to reverse this ruling, I really don't see it happening.

The limit is 225 m/s. Anything higher than that supposedly causes issues with bandwidth. Until people stop playing VO from Mars, the ISS, and Australia, we won't be allowed to have ships that go faster than 225 m/s.

The obvious solution is to stop letting people who live in BFE and have ping times higher than 100 ms or so play VO, so the rest of us can actually have a fun, enjoyable game.
