no one complained when this plugin was first used. in fact, many people seemed to enjoy it. :P
Unnecessary. /leave and /mute are much more reasonable than some automatic thing like this. If I were really really hell-bent on spamming I would just time my aliases to wait 1.1 seconds. Also, would a spammer still be able to spam up 4357? If not, I wouldn't like a private channel to force this on me.

I was only thinking this would apply to 100 (as much as I'd like it to apply to 4357 in particular, but that's not a reasonable request). I don't really care if you spam a private channel.
As it seems that I'm the only one who feels this is a worthy addition, however, I'll drop the point.

Blessed Be The Bidi Baba! May his spam reign on 100 eternally.
For he brings us truth. He is our Prophet. Through The Bidi Baba we come to know Gravity in all its glory!

"You really think you're going to misspell something 30 times in a row, each time correcting yourself within one second."
Actually, when I... (or many people for that matter) misspell something I... (and they), tend to correct it straight away. So, yes its a very real potentiality.
"Or when typing something especially long, and had to continue after running out of room."
Actually, yes. When I run out of room typing, I hit enter and finnish up. It doesnt tak long given that the average person can type from 30 to 60 words per minute.

Neither of those scenarios would result in 30 seconds of 1 transmission per second, RR.
The Doctor has a point, though I still think its a bad idea, /ignore and /leave 100 still work just fine.
Oh, it's a terrible idea. But it wouldn't catch anything other than automated chat spam. It's just a pissant concept (Atice for ya) and a waste of Dev time.
there's a reason we have guides, and /vote mute, and /ignore.
We already have rate limiting stuff in chat, as you guys know. It wouldn't be hard to do, and there might be some merit to more careful limiting of 100 (but only 100, or maybe 1, and only if it doesn't impinge on normal usage). But, not going to make this a big priority for now, unless someone makes an absolute nuisance of themselves. I think we'd probably rather have conquerable stations and stuff.
Yea, keep working on the cool stuff
However If you'd just let us hide the damn thing again that'd be way better. But worry about that after the cool stuff! heh

I believe there is an option to entirely hide the chat, located in the hud settings under the interface options, Spence.
