Mining missions are aborted in case you log out

It's made clear in the mission description, but still... very annoying when you get disconnected in the middle of the mission...

How helpful. Say your wireless goes down?

I think all missions abort on log-out. Might be interesting to have them persist over multiple sessions, but I assume there are serious technical challenges on that front.

Gaming on wifi? You have only yourself to blame.

Some missions don't abort on log out, it really depends on the mission objectives as in some cases logging out and back in again would enable certain cheats.

A mining mission seems like it wouldn't need to abort on log out, though, especially since some of them require fairly high quantities of ore. I guess the rationale is that a player could log out while waiting for an asteroid to cool instead of looking for other asteroids of the same ore type. Of course this wouldn't stop a really dedicated player from waiting for the same asteroid to cool over and over without logging.

This sounds like a job for the PCC.

edit: I just checked this out, some mining missions require no logout, some don't. Maybe this is a way of creating added objectives for the higher level mining missions. If you think there's a chance you might get disconnected or you don't have a solid block of time then stick with the easier missions. Good suggestion though.
