Select nearest friendly
We got a command to select nearest enemy. But that don't really work too well when they are green and "x" doesn't target them. I know most people will say "get targetlss" or whatever, but for those of us that don't use it because are computer are crap. Or people that just choose not to use it, it'd be nice to be-able to bind a command to select the nearest friendly. I know this could seriously save my ass in furballs where Im trying either to bring up sector list or point at random dots and hit "b"....
I've asked people if such a command allready exists and everyone says no. If it does exist please tell me than lock this thread.

Actually TCS is the plugin you want and it is bug free as far as I know.

So what you're saying, Willis, is that you are fully aware that tools exist to solve your problem, but you would rather just complain about it than use said tools? Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have a winner.
On a certain generation of computer, Targetless causes brief freezes every time it updates. I can certainly understand why someone would want a native command for this instead of being forced to install something that degrades performance to an almost unplayable level (if you freeze for a second every update during, say, NW, you're gonna die pretty quickly).
Most performance issues with targetless should be resolved a few versions back. I use it on my EEE and it doesn't freak out or pause... unless of course your system specs are lower then a netbook? Anyhow, if targetless is still having hiccups on slower hardware I'd definitely like to know more :p
Please try upgrading your targetless and post if it's still causing issues... on the other hand, if you simply don't want to use the plugins no one should force you :) And there should be a plugin-free solution to every problem.

Yeah, thats basically what I meant. For those people that don't use / can't use plug-ins or whatever it would be nice to see a command like I stated above that comes native with the game. I'm going to try the new version of targetless just to see if it works. I'll post here the results.
Why should you not be able to use plugins?
I'll actually second Willis's suggestion./request I have installed two variants of TargetLS, both eventually caused my MAC G5 to begin freezing, and even crash. I'm not for want of RAM either, due to it being my professional media machine
So.. I am open to alternate suggestions as well. It can be frustrating being jumped by a "Friendly" pirate and fussing about to try and target him, so I read this thread on in hope an answer may have been provided. There is also the likelyhood as a new player I am unaware of an existing solution
