I'd love to see/have a cloaking device. Maybe partially visible when moving and not on radar if under a speed 30m/s or something like that. Also can't fire.

That's a good idea, and in advance of the peanut gallery arriving.. I'll mention that reading the sticky "Read before posting" thread is a good idea. Cloaking devices have been oft-discussed on here.

Cloaking is a hotly debated issue in this community. I personally believe Cloak is a bad idea for the game, as it would be shamelessly abused and completely waste the development of static defenses that have taken years to see fielded.

There's a laundry list of other issues relating to Cloaks, but I would suggest you use "Read Before Posting" to look at the pre-existing topic.

I'm completely against the idea of cloaks. Like the pyrex guy said, we've got enough laundry to do with out having to worry about a bunch of dirty cloaks (that would probably need dry cleaned, to boot).

Plus, if you have cloaks, well, you'll need daggers and dark alleys and stuff,

and this is more of a space game, you know?
