I think the ships were designed specifically to point the two nations towards a specific combat style. Does it not seem obvious to the rest of you?

Well the thing is, the Itani 'style' is clearly superior. As such, most Serco end up flying Valks anyway. That's just silly.

The Itani style is superior for staying alive by running around; if you have to hold an area, I'll take a wing of SCPs, thank you very much.

You have a point, though a bunch of hit-and-run valks will eventually wear down the SCP's and take the area anyway, though it would be rather costly for them.
