Inconsistency with VO ships sizes (datasheets vs VO reality)

Has anyone noticed how VO heavy ships are only slightly larger then light/medium fighters?

Has anyone noticed how warthogs, as a medium size ships, are exactly the same size as centurions?

i think this has been a problem from the start bojan not something that has changed over time. although if it has i think one only needs to look at the agt thread to find out why.

/edit: Sorry, I was called away before I completed this post...which is now moot. Move along, nothing to see.

They aren't called "longer" ships, they're called "heavier". And, on average, their mass is considerably more than the so-called "light" classes.

Aside from that, the differentiation can be considered as related to potential loadout ("Heavy" addon usage) as anything else.

Hmmm, then heavy ships manufacturers must be some alien wizards because they can fold space to fit 40-60 cu of cargo into a valkyrie size ship and fit heavy armor , big engines and heavy weapons in them too.

I want this "space folding" magiks on a centurion.
It is about same weight and size as a marauder, has less armor, less wep ports, smaller engine and carries only 8-11 cu cargo.
In "space folding" VO reality, centurion should have at least 50cu cargo hold.

Centurions do not have the processing power of heavier ships, so they cannot fold space so well.
