Longer delay for /logoff in space

Great solution!

While a well placed neut or bump 'can' solve the issue of someone directly in front of you, it does nothing to keep someone 2-3000m+ out from completing the log or /explode if they suddenly find themselves in a sector with a threat.

That's sorta the point. If you're 2-3000m away, that someone isn't your target and you're not "a threat" to them.

If you are in an overloaded xc, then that taur at 5k is a threat, except that you can log. don't support the overloaded lazy trader. make them fly, fight, or sneak. not just up and log.

A taur at 5k, or 3k, or even 2k is not a threat. Period.

Even a laden XC can simply warp out at those sorts of distances, usually before the < 1000m auto-follow engages. If you can do that, you can vanish off into vast number of different sectors.

If I have a dog in this fight, it's as Roda says: I kill traders for a substantial part of my time in game, and haven't used /explode since they put a timer on it (when the fight was really close, getting a kill by insta-suicide next to a guy with ~5% hull was fucking sweet). This just seems sorta silly. I say double the timer and leave well enough alone.

have you ever flown an xc loaded with chaos? if anything with a gun shows up in sector, you are toast. your only real option is to dump your load and run. but at least you have to dump your load. unless you can just log. an xc full of chaos just logged in front of you, because you could not get there in 10 seconds. 10 seconds. that is about 2km. you could be in a ec-89 with a gov issue gun with a free power cell, at 5k, and catch and kill a chaos loaded xc. unless it logs. come on. at what point is a trader just pushing the point of lameness too far?

Swarms, ADV rails, and to a lesser extent Suns/gauss. Oh, and samo.

So what if there are a few loads out there that you'd otherwise be able to catch?

- Logoff timer gets set to 30 seconds when you receive a private
message to give you time to respond before getting logged off.
The timer gets reset back to 10 seconds 20 seconds afterwards
at which point another private message would set the timeout
to 30 seconds again.

does /ignore counteract this?

Yep.

And if you dont do anything then you will log after the first 30 even if you get a second message...
