i havent been in game in quite a while, but i follow these message boards regularly, like many of you. the last thread i read was inc's post about the raptor. i have been wanting to say this for quite some time:

shut the fuck up and let the devs do their job. everyone wants this game to be just like it would be if you were in space flying a spacecraft for real, but this isnt real, its a game .. right? if VO is leaning towards a space sim, let me know and i will retract everything i say here.

if this is supposed to be a game, then there are going to be some elements that are "unrealistic". and for you tech nerds, you just have to get over it or build your own game (sim, whatever). i think the devs could be getting alot more done if they weren't reading your obnoxious (and quite rude might i add) posts about the dumb shit.

Devs: you obviously released your game way too early, but what is done is done. if i were a part of your team, i would shut vo down and start a new game with the stuff you intended (or learned about later) to add to the game. i think it is awesome how you you listen to the opinion of the players, but fact of life is - you will never make everyone happy.

so what's my suggestion? delete the suggestions forum.
yea, it sounds crazy, but maybe they could get some REAL work done if they didnt have all the bullshit. i bet someone is saying, "They could stop reading it for a while". but, if they are like me, they are going to look at it everyday just out of pure curiosity, and because they love the game (and its subscribers) so much, they will try to make it better.

Shut the fuck up you worthless newb. If you don't think this game is not worth playing and paying for, and therefore not worth releasing, then get the fuck off and keep your self-righteous 'contribution' of ten cocaine-laced dollars to yourself.
I'm sure the developers appreciate your business, no matter what your reasons for providing it are, but I have no doubt that in order to have made a videogame at all they've got enough pride to be insulted by your insinuations. They're not too stupid to figure out which suggestions are worthwhile and which ones are crap, no matter how many times you tell yourself that you're the only smart person in the world.

That whole "let he who is blameless cast the first stone" is about as good an argument as the "let's see you make something better before you criticize" argument. For your reference, there was a time when what you say made sense, but I've graduated from highschool since then.

If the devs wanted us to keep our mouths shut and just let them do whatever without offering suggestions, then they wouldn't have made a suggestion forum. I am forced to the conclusion that the OP is either deliberately trolling, demented, or a malevolent kidney-demon.

Considering the list of extremely useful items that have already been implemented due to the suggestions forum, the OP is clearly talking out of their ass in saying it's counter-productive.

As there are enough subscribers to pay the bills for this game which is constantly developing, I disagree that the game was released too soon along with all the other subscribers. The OP feels otherwise and doesn't play. Fine. Come back later when think the game lives up to your standards which will never be known because you are abdicating your rights to voice an opinion on the suggestions forum.

Oh, but I suppose that never occured to you, right? That the game development might actually be fluid enough to respond to player wants and desires made known to the devs via this very forum?

I suppose the "fact of life" you have is correct: they'll never satisfy everyone, particularly not you. So why bother posting your troll?

My prior comment assumed a country that measured temperature in Fahrenheit. I was clearly mistaken, and am now quite sure that Armonia's homeland uses degrees Celsius.

Armonia, if the options are for VO to remain underground as opposed to --- what was your suggestion? Oh yes! --- getting rid of it altogether and starting from ground zero, I'll take the former. I believe most of us subscribers would feel the same way if those were the only two options.

If you're not going to support the game with constructive suggestions or monetary input or "grass-roots" advertising, why are you still here?

I read these forums daily, and I haven't a clue as to what set this thread off. Nobody is advocating a space sim at the moment.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this, seeing as the "Suggestion" will not be honored, and nothing constructive has been generated so far here.
