in group mining, where 2 or more players are mining and 1 or more players using a moth are collecting and storing the newly mined ore at a station, it is a pain the you-know-where to distribute the mined ore to the other players after the expedition is concluded.

The player who collected the ore has to stay outside a dock dropping ore cannisters while the player(s) who are to receive them go in/out of the station with whatever-sized ship available to them to take possession. When one of the miners can only buy revs or atlases or even taurs, this is a ridiculously long process for all concerned.

If we had a /giveore "oretype" cuqty "playername" or similar command construct available to us, the collecting player would simply distribute the ore to his mining comrades under the same rules as the current /givemoney command.

Mining is already the most tedious and boring task in VO. A /giveore command would eliminate a lot of additional boring, tedious, time-consuming work and allow the players to get on with doing other more interesting things with their valuable time in-game.

Likely to be implemented along with an inventory redux. Obviously cannot be just like credits, as you could only transfer ore inside a station.
