Upgrade iup to the latest version
I recently noticed that Vendetta is using iup version 2.4, which was released in 2005. The latest version available is 3.0RC1, which was released just a few weeks ago and there have been quite a few noticeable changes since iup 2.4 that would definitely benefit Vendetta, such as the ability to click on letters or words in text boxes (clicking on a name in chat and having it auto-complete their name is an often-requested feature), many improvements to iup.matrix, functions to insert elements before another element and 'reparent' an element, tabs which can be dynamically created (although Vendetta uses its own custom tabs so this may not be used), improvements to iup.label including word-wrap (woot), and many many other additions, changes and fixes.

I've been thinking it'd be nice too,
but unless it's easy to integrate and fully backwards compatible (so devs don't have to redo the whole interface...) i don't think this is something to do now (with devs busy doing lots of other stuff).

As we've told slime privately, our "version" of IUP is basically now a proprietary fork that has been extensively hacked to do what we need for the game. "Upgrading" it in any way would require a substantial amount of time. We might be able to back-port some of the newer mainline changes that are fairly well contained in certain areas of common code, but none of this is really a priority right now.
Indeed, it's just Another thing to think about for soon™. ;)
