KOS = cargo confiscation
How about this: if you gain KOS with a nation or faction, all cargo you have at those stations is confiscated. You basically don't have access to it anyway. In a real life scenario the station isn't going to respect your stuff. You lost your stuff when you lost your faction.

What would be the purpose of that?
If player is deliberately going to become KOS with a nation or faction he will probably remove all his possessions from that nation/faction space unless... he doesn't care. Not like he can use any of that stuff.
If it happens by accident, he will probably get his standing back (buy it or ask guide/devs to get him his standing back).

[Yes]
Confiscation gives the pilot yet another incentive to avoid becoming KOS, at least without advanced planning. It can also function as an inventory cleaning mechanism for the game when items become inaccessible by the pilot.
The station is storing your stuff, probably for free (under 10000cu) and suddenly, whether by accident or not, you do something that makes you KOS with that faction. Why on Terra II are they going to care about your stuff?
Nation stations might be a little more lenient with regards to confiscation whereas outputs in grey might just outright claim it all. In either case, cargo doesn't have to be immediately confiscated. Perhaps grey factions confiscate it within 48h and nation stations confiscate after 72h. This window would give the pilot ample time to resolve any accident KOS.

I like it a lot.
Yes! All my gov buses stuck in Orion and UIT stations have been tormenting and taunting me for years, rid them from my inventory list, please!
training station inventory should also get deleted as well....
Why are we so offended by people being KOS?

Now the Itani govt can stop charging me storage fees for all my crap in Deneb.

Martin, I love being KOS. And I am obsessive-compulsive enough to hate having inventory I cannot liquidate.
Plus, it does make sense.

True. It does.
I'm, however, obsessive compulsive enough not to have any stray cargo around in the first place. :P.

Yes to this.
hmm, so you are saying that the nine or so crates of ferric ore I have in Sol II will be impounded due to the multiple slayings of Serco personel? Sounds reasonable.

Awww, all my hive posis will be lost ;_;
Ah well, couldnt get them out before anyways, and I wasnt planning on raising my UIT standing...
If the devs do this, then I'll be really glad I stored that pelt inside a corvus station >_>

I'd prefer some way to have the items transfered for a large sum of money..High enough that it's not abused for instatrading. I'd really hate to lose some of my crap due to some "accident".
Usually takes more than one accident to become KOS, I think I suggested this like 4 years ago or something.
So yeah, please.

I like this suggestion.
I approve, if a faction wants a pilot's blood surely it'll confiscate whatever belongings the pilot forgot behind.
