User submitted transport mission
Maybe the title is a little misleading, but I was thinking about letting the user offer transport missions, for example...
I buy a whole bunch of Ion Blasters that I need moved to various stations, reasons need not be discussed. Instead of moving them myself, to have the ability to submit a transport mission for anyone wanting to make a quick buck.
The user can click on a "Hire transporter" button and it would go in a queue, waiting for someone to take the mission. The person accepting the mission does not know what they are transporting, they just know that they need to carry, say, 12cu from point A to point B.
The user can also have the option to hire a convoy to aid in the transportation, if what they are transporting is too large, say, a Vult or something.
Pricing and participation may vary. But, depending on what they want to have shipped and how far will determine the price the user has to pay.
The main reason for this is, there is a station that I have set as my home, but the ships and weapons I use are not offered there and are actually offered 2+ galaxies away. Buying up a whole bunch of ships and weapons to stock pile is nice, but now I have to move everything back and forth, which means buying a whole bunch of the free EC's and then discarding them. Slightly mundane.
