I would like to suggest the creation of a separate sector where player run events could be held. The sectors could be static in the current VO verse however if a separate off map sector that was reachable via wormhole it would allow for some interesting possibilities.

First off the sector could be customised for each event and even the normal Vo limits could be altered with no disruption to Normal game play. The event sponser could be allowed complete control over the enviroment.

The wormhole to reach the sector could only appear for registered players and this wormhole could appear locally to each player in a common empty sector like A-1 which would encourage participation by reducing travel for those far way from event areas. This would also reduce the need for security measures such as beam turrents.

The sector could easily be moved to a separate server if Guild software needed to prevent the event from interfering with normal play.
