Tax system...
I already posted this in SF's forum but not everybody goes there and suddenly I can't get on, but basicaly it goes like this:
When a nation caps and everyone gets a million credits, where does all that money come from? So I thought of something like a tax system. I would be percentage-based, and maybe bracket-based, too. The money from taxes would be put into a "cap fund" and when a nation caps, the money from this fund would get divided amongst those online. Taxes would also affect the production of a nation's special ship. More money means higher production, which may mean lower prices. A good scenario could be this. A large Itani trade convoy has been particularly successful, so they all get taxed more, and valk production goes up. The cappers/warriors/whatever could get valks for cheap, and they go cap Serco. Everybody online gets paid, so they pay more taxes, and the cycle begins anew. I know all this is a little complicated, especially right now when not even the most menial dynamic economy is set, but in the future, this would help balance things in a very feasable, realistic fashion.

I am ressurecting this thread because nobody read it and I think it's a good idea!
We don't need a game so real that it even requires you to pay taxes. This is too crazy and too realiztic. I'm totally against it...
If this were implemented, you had better be able to commit tax evasion....

I had the same idea. This would also increase the reward of capping and help limit certain ships. If Blue didn't have enough central fund money to create ships, no Valks would be produced. If Valks can't be produced, Red and Gold can't complain about the ship being unbalanced.
If most players feel that an opposing nation's ship is unbalanced, they as a team can fix the problem.

how can they fix the problem???
i did'nt understand what it...
sorry for being so ignorent :(

Problem: Some teams feel that other teams have an advantage by means of their special ship.
Solution give the "underdog" team an ability as a team to conteract this handicap.
