make the gat turret and cannon turret only weapons
because like thats what they are turreted weapons. No more fancy auto aim turbo from behind gank fest with this weapons. make them only work on two player ships with a gunner controlling the turret.

Besides, gatling turret fire is fairly easy to dodge for someone with as much experience as you, right?

I partially agree with this. The Gatling Cannon desperately needs a role, and I think it would fit a turret fine. The Gatling Turret, however, has a role, and a not unimportant one at that. Besides, it IS easy to avoid gatling fire, generally.
I think the gatling cannon still needs to be improved or removed in order to be used in any capacity. Honestly, I'd prefer a neut II to a gatling cannon, even in a turret.
As for the gatling turret, I tend to agree wish tosh. It does have a role and is pretty essential to certain fighters. I would leave it as is.

It sounds to me like another "peytros' whining about anything he can" thread. Get used to it, there are things in this game even I don't like. But the difference between you and me is that you spend about a few months whining about it.

If you ask me, the AGT should be turret-only and the cannon should be, well, a cannon. Besides it just plain making sense, people might perhaps consider the GC as a more viable weapon in single-man craft, since the AGT won't be there to overshadow it!

every weapon in the game cant be vital to everyday play, otherwise we wouldn't have weapons to level up. the GC comes first. then as you progress in the game, the GT becomes available. the way i see it, it should be gatling turret and gatling turret mkII where mkII has auto-aim. there should be more levels in between most of these types of weapons imho.
The whole point of the Gatling Turret is its autoaim, counter-balancing the ponderous speed at which some ships turn. Taking it away would lower it to the usefulness of a Gatling Cannon (which is practically zilch, because any L-Port weapon is better).
What I'd like to see is improvements made to the gatling cannon. Improve the rate of fire but keep the energy per shot the same, and increase the spread of shots whilst keeping the auto-aim of the thing as dire as it always has been.
The result would be a largeport weapon that would be devastating close in, and next to useless further out apart from the occasional lucky hit on a hull; sort of a largeport variant on the flechette cannon. Altering the bolts so that they are much less visible to both the user and the victim would also be useful; this makes the thing even harder to aim and reinforces the role of a "spray and pray" close-in gun.
