As the title says implementing damage based on where you hit for instance. if you hit someone in the engine they would either lose manuverablity or lose stability
core: lose energy, lower energy restoration
guns: obviously cant fire them....or chances to fire blanks.
cockpit: aiming / other side effects

along with location damage i believe being able to target more specific parts of the ships

another thing i wouldn't mind seeing is maybe a shield generator for the large slot, makes flying bigger ships actually worth flying

/me preps a fire extinguisher...

Do you realize quite how easy you've made it for people to make fun of this proposition?

If someone gives you a well-aimed shot at your gun, you could lose the ability to fire or you might be firing blanks?

i think a lot of the older vo'ers have problems with their cock(pit) which is why they spend all time online and not in bed with their wifes. I still can't believe by 4300 or whatever the year is they haven't been able to solve the problem with shooting blanks
