add some rts to vendetta
heres a couple of ideas on making the game a little more mmo and a little less lonesome grinding,
1.a: give sectors/galaxy's a reason to exist, have fractions/guilds/govs the ability to take them over and build space stations in them.
1.b: create a engineer class to to build/maintain the stations.
2.a: guild ships that could be like air craft carriers(scramble the fighters).
2.b: torrents that could be maned by guild members
could you imagine a border war where one team could actually lose the border, where being in a team would actually matter.

1a: Planned. Deneb is the testbed for this sort of development, but other issues need to be resolved before the entire system can change hands. Currently, only the wormhole to Serco space changes, and that is based, if I remember right, on the results of the weekly Border Battle in Deneb B-13.
1b: What? There are no "classes" of players defined by the game mechanics. This (as you have worded it) would require an entirely new mechanic that would require development time that is better spent elsewhere. Engineering *addons* designed for the current port system would be more likely, but still would require significant development time that can't be spared right now.
2a: Planned.
2b: See above. Also, the word is "turret" not "torrent." (I don't think .torrent files can grow hair, no matter how much help they get from guild members.)
