Cycle closest baddies?
Is there a way to cycle through the nearest baddie? In other words, rather than hitting [key] once to target the closest enemy, you could keep hitting [key] to target the closest, then the 2d closest, then the 3rd, and so on.
The Tie Fighter family of games had something like that, and I found it really useful in battles with lots of ships. But I haven't been able to figure out if that's possible in VO. Suggestions?
[Not sure if this is the right thread - apologies if it's misplaced.]

Other than that, it's a nice idea I haven't yet heard any talk about on these forums (doubtless from a lack of in-depth perusal of the suggestions threads).

On the other hand, it's nice to be able to keep pressing the button and always get the closest enemy (since closest can change quite quickly in battle).

I agree rogue - I was thinking of an alternative function rather than a replacement function. An earlier suggestion thread pointed to the commands list, and I noticed the following two commands that seem on point:
RadarNextNearestEnemy select next nearest Enemy
RadarPrevNearestEnemy select previous nearest Enemy
I'll try these this evening; but I'm wondering whether these are just the existing commands - i.e. you can select the nearest enemy, but as long as that ship remains the nearest, the command will only identify that one ship - it won't cycle to the <i>next</i> nearest...
