Reinstate jump sound effect
I don't know if the problem with the jump sound effects has been resolved but the silent jumps make what should be a fairly dramatic moment kind of sad, in my opinion, with the engine sound fading out to silence. It may be a subtle difference but sometimes its the details or lack thereof that people notice as they size up a game.
I have been using Miharu's JumpSFX plugin with no ill effects and can't imagine the game without it. Ideally, though, the jump sound effect should become the game default with an option to turn it off.

Hm. Adding too much drama to the jump effect would over-emphasize it, in my opinion.
But having its own animation certainly would not hurt it.

i think a soundfx would be good, however, i do not like the one in the plugin.
The sounds that the JumpSFX plugin uses are contained within media.rlb and are built into the game client. They just aren't active. If people provided me with a couple sets of sound effects I could expand the plugin to use others if you don't like the "official" sounds.
I asked Incarnate about a year ago (probably more) about why the sounds weren't already in use. His response was that it just never got finished, and that there were things that he'd wanted added to the effects (looking back at the conversation, I believe he was referring to the warp-in effects more than the warp-out ones) that nobody had gotten around to.
At this point I don't think that it'll be finished anytime soon given the much larger issues on the devs' plates, but if someone decides that it's a low-hanging fruit, who knows...
