The Border Battle/Border Skirmish is very enjoyable. However as soon as a player gets a decent set of licenses, they are more likely to be found in or around Grayspace, at the opposite end of the universe from Deneb. Traveling between the borders of Grayspace and Deneb is tedious, slightly more so for the Itani.

How about making the Heavy Assault Cruiser of each faction available at a more convenient location. For example the Itani HAC could appear near the military station at Divinia M-14, around 15 minutes before the battle. Pilots would then have 10 minutes to dock with the capship, and at 5 minutes to the battle it would warp directly to Deneb O-3 with everyone on board. Pilots could then undock and use the station if they need to, and then either dock again or get to B-13 in their own ships. Similarly for returning to Divinia. The Serco HAC could do this routine between Pyronis O-9 and Geira Rutilus O-4.

I think this would increase participation in the border warfare missions, and should be fairly easy technically. All that is required is to script the movement of the HAC and make it so that it carries docked craft through these jumps. It still has to eject docked craft so that it can go hide in its undisclosed location when a battle is over.
