Easy (?) fix for Border Patrol
I post again something that perhaps was discussed in several threads, but this time I suggest not a long term solution, but something that should be easy to implement to fix some current issues and not take a lot of developers' time.
So, we have BS, which is all about capships (and maybe some players like that fact) and we have BP... which has its own problems. What are these problems and how can we try and fix it in a relatively simple manner?
1. NPC interfering. BP usually starts with players of one side fighting versus NPCs. Then the players of the opposite faction join the fun, and the NPCs are only distracting. Why not to despawn NPCs automatically if they are not in combat and there are players of the same faction in sector?
2. Balancing issues. Especially if we remove NPCs, it can be really tough for outnumbered side. Why not to give some advantage to that side then? Like increased armor and damage (up to a certain point). With that powerup 2v1 or 3v1 may become more "fair"
I am sorry for not digging up the threads about BP, but well, I remember devs saying that they monitor how often particular topic is brought up on the forum to decide how important it is :)
