I don't know how this would fit in with the long-range goals for storage on player-owned stations but in the interim perhaps stations could offer greater storage capacity just for mined ores - either capped or not in capacity, possibly with a reduced fee for renting more space. I'm not a miner so I have no recommendation for how much space would be adequate. It seems that the current limit is too low for dedicated miners so this might help alleviate their frustration.
