User Screen Shots
Not that you needed more to work on, but I was wondering if you were interested in developing a user screenshot area. Most MMO's have this feature, which leads me to another, probably more important matter at hand.
All MMO's that have any longevity have a way of displaying player ranks, guild ranks, progress of struggle, etc. This creates a more tight nit community, more hits to your website, and ultimately a more submerging experience for your regulars.
I'm not saying this because I want to see it done right away. I'm only suggesting this because I think what you have here is awesome and I would like see the community grow and grow and make you guys lots of money for the magic you've created here.
Chunck down the success of WOW - it's not all game. It has a lot to do with all the community based cementing features that they ripped from all the other games - territory conquest, status reports, recent news, and special events.
You don't need any more code - just more copywriting.
Not that any of this is needed or appreciated - just my two cents. Great game. I'll be here a while.
Thanks.

The success of WoW is that it has CONTENT. Blizzard hires good storywriters to write stories that the online players can become immersed in. They're not GREAT, just "good enough" writers.
The success of EVE is that it has content. Not as much as WoW, but enough. EVE further allows the players to "make their mark" on the universe - the outcomes of online battles and such are represented in the continuing storyline.
Both of these examples have detailed storylines revolving around corporations/guilds, characters, nations, and the game universe in general. There are frequent updates to quests and there's plenty of room to explore.
Writing, stories, fun NPC's, guide- and developer- run scenarios, etc. are something Vendetta is lacking severely. But of course, the developers KNOW this and have "plans" in this area, but right now they HAVE to focus on more important things like game mechanics, server load, and other technical issues. There's only 4 of them.
The PCC allows players to write their own missions. It's pretty cool, and is WAY more than most games allow. But, it still doesn't allow anything really spectacular to happen. Most PCC missions end up as "Go here. Kill X. Come back for your reward!"
I really think that, once the game mechanics have been nailed down, the devs would be able to do an outstanding job of beefing up the PCC, allowing some different things to happen in missions, maybe some cutscenes? I dunno, but I'm sure it's in the works.
Oh, and if you want to post your own screenshots, go ahead.

Leber: he's mostly talking about website features, which is a valid point that's kind of separate from the general "game content" concept. WoW lets people link to their character on webpage, to show how badass they are, etc etc. Maybe some concepts aren't as translatable as others, but the general idea is correct. Certainly things like guild rankings (by some series of metrics) to foster competition amongst player organizations would be interesting.
Back to the original posted intent.. our "Featured Screenshot" area was meant to be something the users could contribute to. It was just never finished properly. One more thing..
