Dynamic Persistence

Players should be able to build things that stay active in the game after they log out. Stations, mining bases, buried treasure and buried treasure maps, weapon stashes, refueling post, etc. They should cost time and effort to create. And they should be customizable to the desires of the creators. Expressive and/or functional, shareable and/or lockable, defensible and destroyable.

edit: with recurring maintenance cost of course...
