Option to Hide Guild Tags
From an RP standpoint, it doesn't make sense to always broadcast guild affiliation. I propose guild leadership/member controls over whether their guild tags show to the world or not. Perhaps in some circumstances releasing the roster to certain guild members is undesirable as well..

This proposal is no more than a thinly veiled birthday gift to the head hunters, who would love nothing more than to be able to get closer to already helpless newbs feigning innocence before they fire.
Explaining friend and foe to newbs is already hard enough with guild tags as an option. IF this is added, I suggest, no, I demand, that there is a /vote danger (or some such) command added so that players at large can flag trolls for one another.
Guild membership has a lot of advantages, why remove the only thing that can remotely classify as a 'balance' from the system?

I don't know, I don't like this idea. It would make spotting pirates/traders nearly impossible. I think if you join a guild you should be associated with that guild always, especially for pirate guilds.
I have to agree with the responses. This idea would end up being primarily used for sinister purposes.
I'm a tad surprised. It's so easy to make a random unguilded alt....
Walking around with ID tags tattooed to your forehead just doesn't seem realistic. But. Whatever.

Like Aramarth said, if there were a way to flag criminals with some sort of voting command, then your idea would be reasonable and I might support it.
