Another suggestion to enhance the interaction between Serco and Itani in Deneb...

When someone takes the Border Patrol mission, make a RP type announcement to the opposing nation along the lines of "An enemy incursion has been detected, proceed to XXX for further instructions." Where XXX would be an Itani station or Serco station.

Could also broadcast to the player's own nation so additional players could join in.

Excellent idea. There should be a channel one can subscribe to which recieves this kind of notification. This way one may switch alts and join the battle in deneb.

Perhaps announce on the appropriate CtC channel (an Itani taking BP would broadcast a message on 202, and vice versa)? Those normally only get a few messages an hour; it might liven them up a bit.

BS doesn't really have anything to do with CtC. Besides that most newbs don't even know about the CtC channels.

Then perhaps channel 11 would be appropriate instead. It's the only other already-allocated channel for nation-specific stuff.

The only problem with that is that aligned UIT pilots wouldn't get messages, or they'd end up getting messages from both sides, when perhaps they only want one -- which was why I suggested using the CtC channels.

MSK: Don't use 11 because then I want to hear about a BP or BS mission while I'm playing an alt.
