as the thread says, it would be a GREAT help if you could config the jstick while inside of the game ^^.(and i believe its not too hard to implement)
Er, you mean like Options -> Controls -> Joystick?
It isn't the most intuitive or well-documented thing ever, but you can certainly configure a joystick while inside of the game..

Yep, the JS configuration works ok for most sticks and their buttons.
The only exception is the saitek x52 or x52 pro . This is because buttons 28 , 29 , 30 ( mode switch ) act as if they are constantly pressed . This means that if you use the keyboard part of vos configuration for the buttons these are the ones constantly set .
so for saitek x52 users ;

no what i was talking about is something that adjusts deazone and sensibility, etc..
in other words, the config.ini
in other words, the config.ini
Options > Controls > Joystick > Calibrate lets you set deadzones and centers (though not very precisely - I use config.ini for this myself). There is no way to directly set sensitivity for a joystick within VO that I know of.
Joystick sensitivity is based on how fast your current ship can turn, I think.
