I've recently used my 8 free hours... But I can't get any money to keep playing, well, not for at least a few days or maybe weeks from now... And then I had a thought;

Why not change the "Free Trial" Limit? I thought maybe take away the Time Limit and just make it so that an unpaid account can not exceed Licence Level 1...? That would mean that playes can keep playing the game free but not get anything decent in the game.

However - to prevent this feature from being abused, if someone were to Pay, exceed License Level 1, and then stop paying... they can't log into that character due to exceeding the "Free Trial" limit.

Sound fair? It would certainly make more people want to pay to play the game, but then people who don't have the money/time to pay can still play the game... but they would be newbs for life ;)

If someone doesn't understand this, then here is a better explanation:

You play this game for the first time, and then you get license level 1/1/1/1/1. You can still play, but you can't gain any more License Levels unless you pay. Then you eventually get something like license level 5/2/6/4/2. And then the following day, your paid time expires. You CAN NOT log into that character unless you pay, as his license levels are aboce 1/1/1/1/1.

a new trial account... why? I really don't want to spend 8 hours playing the game and getting addicted to it, and then have "Your Free Trial has Expired, now sod off" appear on my screen -_-

And what's wrong with having bots? If the mods/devs find a Bot they can just ban/delete it...? And yes, i know it's not all that easy... but it can be done ^_^

One thing I could see happening would be bots sitting in every important sector that monitor who's coming through ...I don't really like that idea.
The devs seem to generally avoid things that creates more work for them.

It just takes a couple of clicks to create a new account ..if you are fast enough you can dump your stuff outside a station and start out not totally empty handed.

yeah, but you still need the licenses to use that equipment :(

and besides, I made 100k credits in that 8 hours, which I couldn't even spend LOL and about 3 or 4 hours of that free trial were mostly just afk talking to my girlfriend...

To be honest I cant see how a load of Bots that can only have Lisence Level 1 would become such a problem........? Or am I missing something here..

what i think would be neat is if you only got EXP for the first 8 hours of trial after that all the exp/money you get isn't awarded until you start paying...

too bad there isn't a way to detect bots otherwise this would work.

Basically, if you can't decide wether to buy the game or not in the first 8 hours of game time, you can either

A) Make a new trial account

or

B) Research it out of the game, looking through the wiki and fourms...and then..

C) Spend a WHOLE TEN DOLLAHS on a month.

There isn't going to be a way of getting 'free' playtime because it's just a huge pain in the neck. It's always going to be exploitable in some fashion, and it really doesn't add anything to the game. It's simply not worth the dev's time to spend months of work to try and cater to people who can't/won't pay for the game.

I forget how much it costs, but the 2 yr plan is a super-cheap way to go. I think it's a whopping $6.99 a month for 24 months right now. I don't even play and I have two accounts at that price.

Why have two accounts? You can have plenty of alts with just one : /

Two accounts so Lecter can be on as two different people and further infiltrate... whatever hes trying to infiltrate. Besides, who would suspect alt+tab?
