cap fixes
I know capture the flag won't be in final version of vendetta, we all know that we have to wait at least a year for it though. In the meantime, if same trend continues, trading will dissappear completely. Why? Because every player of your team will receive a million dollars when the team caps. That includes every noob that just connected and got massacred by bots. Now, I respect newcomers, I have been one myself, but to tell you the truth, if I had received a million dollars when I started I would never bother with trading and learning this skill. I suppose you would too just stock up on vehicles of mass destruction and never worry about running away from bots in sector 17 and 18.
While I think a million dollar for people who have capped is reasonable, I would strongly recommend disallowing other people on your team benefiting from their doing nothing. Worse yet, spy characters log in just before the capture and claim their million dollars :)
I propose a small change (which is probably pain in the butt to implement) - give a million dollars to people who were in same sector (or enemy sectors) at time of flag grabbing and in home sector at time of flag capture. This way only people who will get the reward will be group of people actively participating in the cap. I also think this would tie in with mission system quite nicely.

thought i did work for my first 20-30grand, after that 4 flags got capped and i reaped in the benifits. it was nice.
I also agree with you, only those who do the mission should get the money. this has probably been suggested before and all but anyway.
players should be able to set a mission up, and then have other players accept or deny the mission. the player who set it up should be able to deny any player the ability to part take in it if they feel the player wont do anything.

I decide that I would like to transport some cargo, I put forward the mission of "capture the flag" and a price I am willing to pay for it, a percentage up front, a percentage when its done.
players then send me their acceptance and i agree to having them on my "team"
a bonus would be paid to the one who caps the flag. thus you solve the problem of spys and noobs and also if a player happens to be in another sector yet is playing a vital role in the mission (say like distracting enemy players) he/she still gets some cash :)

erg, what about those people fighting off persuers in the sector jsut outside your home, or delaying persuers in other sectors?
Yeah, how do you tell who helped and who didn't? I say forget it. CTF will be gone before the year is out I'll bet. My guess is it is gone by 3.3.5.
