make it where we can build a costomize ship
you need to be able to upgrade parts individually like cargo hold,speed,amour,and shield
I see some really interesting ideas here as far as ships are concerned... As it so happens, I have been paper modeling other ships for quite some time from games like homeworld, and for a wile I've been making some of my own ships.
The programming that may come with it is a bit of an issue, as I have very very little experience coding outside of the homeworld ship codes (gotta make that Turranic Raider carrier capturable :P) so I may need someone else who knows what there doing to take over once I get a model complete, but if a Dev would like to send me a prioritized list of projects, I could start doing some ship models.
The programs I have to work with (currently) are metasequoiaLE and deep exploration. I have very little experience binding textures, but with all the different HW mods I downloaded before JST online went OFFLINE, Its just a matter of getting the textures loaded into meta, and then tweaking to make them astetically pleasing.
May I give it a go?
Would there be anyone who would be willing to take the models that I design and touch/code as needed, or write a tutorial for the coding?

Flak turret?
Flak turret shoots 5-10 dumb fire missiles per shot in a randomly generated flight path within a 60-90 degree cone of fire. The chances of a hit are high, but the weapon is more effective at closer range. Damage per hit is 150-250 per shot to encourage use at close range. Best used on capital ships as a defensive "back the heck off" type weapon.

How very large player owned ships battle cruisers, super carriers, and super battleships
More ships different designs, makes, models.
More customizations for ships likes cooling system boosters etc.
Make ship in manage tab rotatable and add more ports to ships.
Shuttle should have ability to have 2 small ports so you can use
sensors and mining equipment at same time.
I love the game and can't wait to see where we go from here.
