We all know this is hideously outdated. However, the devs have far more important things to do, such as the new economy. This would actually be a very good job for the PCC, as someone has mentioned before.

Yes, the manual is outdated. The wiki is the best bet for now. The problem with a manual at this stage is that things change so often that keeping it updated is a major headache. Yes, it should be kept updated at all times, but given the choice of having resources dedicated to documenting a constantly-changing game vs. having resources dedicated to improving the game itself, I would choose the latter. I guess they could split the resources so that progress is slowed by the manual updates in such a way that the manual is able to catch up.

I agree with sfriedenberg, by the way. The manual could be outsourced and reviewed for quality by the devs, which might reduce the documentation workload for them.

Well, as an interim solution, would adding a link to the vo-wiki on the manual introduction screen help newer players get information ?
