Why, thank you for your detailed and insightful suggestion. I can see that you've decided to preface your suggestion by perusing some of the stickied threads.

In all seriousness, there are many ways in which the current forum could be improved. But simply asking for a "better forum" isn't terribly helpful.

Or even Joomla! with SMF or phpBB or another open source forum software. That would cover all the bases and make it really easy to keep the whole site updated.

yea i usually lean towards SMF, but the vo boards are simple fast and efficient that's the way i like em.

The Vo forum does an OK job. Also, those thinking about SMF's and the likes are not considering how integrated this forum is. If someone is muted in-game, they are automagically muted here too. I suspect the same goes for someone who has been banned. Account creation and management is also taken care of via the very same software that powers the forum.

I don't think it would be that hard to integrate these features into something like an SMF, but is it really worth the time it would take away from other areas of development? Maybe one day (and then they could just take the time to update the forum) But right now, No, its not.
