Trial (and error)
I'm only a trial player (and 13 so I'm not allowed to sign up) and i've used up my full 8 hour trial. Is it possible to create an ability so that once somebody's trial is up, they can no longer venture out of their faction's space, and not level up further in any licences? Then people like me can continue to play (and support) with limited capabilities, so we may still have the enjoyment of such a great game?
no....
but...
you can always start a new trial account. (again and again and again...)
PS: ..."Accounts are available only to adults or, in their discretion, their minor child. If you are a minor, your parent(s) or guardian(s) must complete the registration process, in which case they will take full responsibility for all obligations under this Agreement."...

yeah, but then i lose my account, my username... my ship... (centurion itani border gaurdian, took me 3 hours to get)
Indeed you do.
Then get a paid account.
Trust me, you won't be gettting any fun locked within your nation space and unable to raise your licenses.

i fail to understand how keeping a limited free account "supports" the game exactly?
well you can still do quite a bit with a them lisenses
Playing the game is a benefit to the devs since the more people online the more fun it is!

Let's assume this would be implemented.
I imagine scenarios like these two:
Lots of 'freeloaders' hop around in nation space, veterans prey on them, other vets protect them. Player-generated content, which is good. However, lots of new people would try out this 'free-to-play' game, finding that you can't really do much unless you pay and they would therefore leave again, telling everyone they know how much this game sucks since only those with wallets get the cool stuff.
Another would be: Most new players would not use this feature for longer than, say 9 hours, effectively making it obsolete by the time it was implemented, basically wasting development time and money.
Both don't seem overly appealing to me.
