I think it would be cool if we can have a third person view option. I know this isn't Eve Online, which is fine considering Eve Online considered itself too good for my MacBook. But it would be great to be able to see our ship while flyingit. Even better, what about a cockpit view? I know we sort of have cockpit view now, but the ships sort of seem like disembodied spirits flying around in space while we're flying them right now. Maybe we can have the frames of a windshiled or something like that? Or a Star Trek style viewscreen, since there aren't any windows it seems on some ships? The HUDs can stay the same.

There is a third person view. Dont remember correctly, but I think it was either F5 or F9.

if you hit F9 once you get a 3rd person view behind the ship if you hit it again you get a rotating camera that circles around you ship and the third times gives you a free camera that moves with the wasd keys

It would be nice if that camera also had one rotational DOF.
