Solar Radiation and Multiple Languages
Suggestions:
1. The space around suns is very hostile and a normal ship would be toast in those areas, so you could have sectors immediately around a sun have different levels of hostility, and some sort of ablative armour would need to be fitted to a ship for it to survive a long time in those area. Obviously the hostile environment is worthwhile for miners, because unique and valuable minnerals are found in these area. Alternatively there could be special ships that have to be flown with their solar shield towards the sun, and if not, then the ship burns. See the movie "Sunshine" for the basis of my idea. It could also be a good place for a privateer base or two to hide, in the shade of a rock.
2. A Transliterator, so that if people play and speak another language, the foreign language speech is transliterated into their native tongue (wouldn't have to be true translation to get basic communication going between people). Then translate the HUD and missions, etc into the languages supported and you widen your potential market (especially Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian). Ie, like the google language tools, but in real time.

Regarding the suggestions
1. I fully support this idea, however, I think a bit of a different direction would be taken in addition. Asteroids closest to the sun would also be heated. Make those asteroids lowest temperature be about 20 K. That would be good.
2. I believe that there could be a skin done to correct this, but I don't know exactly. It would certainly widen the market.

Re 1. Yes thats sort of what I was thinking, cause the environment is super hot, asteroids are different (hot/molten) and carry different mixes of elements, that require special skill/equipment to mine. I was sort of thinking it would combine ship flying skill with mining (like having to stay in the shadow). Or some such. And the stuff you mine makes the extra effort worth the reward.

2: skins can't fix this only messing with the interface (Lua)
and for the missions the text is on the servers so it would need to be a pretty complicated plugin unless the devs add multiple language options to the game
