One thing i'd like to see is new random enemies such as space slugs.
Also, what about space cows that you have to herd from one station to the next? And if you get attacked en route you have defend them and maybe track down ones that get lost?

No aliens. Also; the implementation wopuld be rather tough, not to mention a gaping hole in the backstory.
it's already been suggested a bazillion times ("space creatures"). it's already been rejected as many times.
see here.
see here.
Okay maybe theres some link problem, "space creatures" goes to a thred about wormholes.
Well that's where the slugs live. read about 7 posts down and the creature discussion begins.
we have slugs n cows or rather proms n moths
Cant really find much of a discussion on it. It looks like creatures in wormholes maybe have been mentioned in like 2-3 posts back in 2003. Herding space cows has never been suggested before.
Use the Search function and type in: "space cows", though I suspect you are actually well aware of the space cow lore here.
It's been done. That was merely one example.
We have to make sure the game conforms to the backstory as much as possible. Introducing aliens/space creatures would leave an amazingly wide hole in the backstory.
While I don't disagree that it might be interesting, there just isn't room for it.
Now if you suggested something like "Genetically modified 'space' cows" as a trade good, that might be workable under the constrains of the backstory, as the Serco/Itani Homeworld did have genetically modified beasts of burden. So to move them as CARGO might not be an idea so far outside the scope of reason, as it could be expected that some worlds/stations would need an influx of meat and other dietary supplements. The issue is that these needs are already met with existing goods, so you'd need to justify your niche.
As for space cows floating around the void: No everyday of the week and twice on sundays.

No.
Bean come baaaaaaaaaack.

Hmmm, a space cow widget would be a nice easter egg. DO WANT!
Btw, there IS one space creature species out there you guys seem to have forgotten, and its probably way more advanced than Serco, Itani, and UIT. Proof of this would be its extremely advanced ship model, with extreme flight and weapons capability far exceeding those used by all 3 known nations.
Yes, I´m talking about:
THE BUNCHIES!
Oh the horror!

Im not sure if I think it's cute, or just a hideous abomination.
The bouncy green body suggests cute, but the devilish eyes suggest its a cunning destructive creature.
