Given the coherent and snappy prose of your post, evincing a sharp and creative mind, perhaps you could write the plot and sub-plots for such a game, emsis. Because, you see, the current version has none.

OH SHI-
My sarcasm detector reads OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!! OH GOD OH GOD
/me jumps out of the building seconds before the explosion...

*cough, ehem...
Lecter's right actually, try making your sentences more coherent. Anyway, this has already been discussed before I think. It's not a good idea. What's keeping the game alive is the multiplayer experience. Single player wouldnt work.
Btw, post suggestions in the suggestions section of the forum, just below the Bugs section and above the Windows section.

emsis - Perhaps you should stick to minesweeper? Seriously, this game is no fun at all single-player.

Actually, you just have to type /leave 100, then /leave 1, and then leave /11. Then avoid Sedina-B8, and PRESTO! Full single player experience.

i suspect that greed is the core issue of this post. aka, a single-player, one-time only fee rather than a subscription-based service.

aka, go play fs2.

There's literally a dozen single player twitch-combat based space games out there. You can start with the classics (Fury, Wing Commander, somce, er, descendants of Descent, Parsec, Elite) and look at others (i-War, and tons that currently slipped from my memory), and then come back and bug the devs about a single player game again.

yeah, if you're really cheap and want a decent singleplayer space-combat/trading simulation game, check out Privateer on the VegaStrike engine. It's a free download of an awesome spinoff of the Wing Commander series.

Get a cheap computer from a used store or something and use Linux to turn it into a router. Plug it into your internet connection and connect all the computers in the house into it. If you get a better computer you can even add a wireless network card and connect using wifi. Or if you have even more money to burn, get an actual router.

Dang...how long did it take to get range up to 700?

Range to 700? Easy.

The game has a glitch that's really easy to use. Just dump something expensive with j, land at a station, leave, and go pick it up. The stuff multiples itself. If you end up picking it all up, dump it, and do it again.

And yeah. You don't want to see a picture of mine.
