Automated Repair
As long as repairing is free, why not make it so that your ship automatically repairs every time you dock? Saves you the trouble of clicking repair every time.

We've talked about Scanning equipment or Escape pods being added to ships. We'll why not add a repair control unit or system.
Using the scrap metal from dead bots/ppl's, it would repair a ppl's ship without even docking. This would take time - lets say 1 sec per 10% healed.( And maybe a ship could only repair if its moving at normal speed?) It would also be free of charge? So if in the future we are charged to repair in stn's (Which should happen'd and is more realistic) - then it would benefit ppl's in the long run...!!

Small robotic nanites crawling over your ship repairing stuff with scrap metal from your hull (only works if your carrying scrap metal) repairs 2% for every 1 scrap metal you have. Rare metals can repair 6% for every one on board your ship.
Yeah, widgets DEFINITELY need to do more than just be cargo items. They should be active!
Think of it this way
Radioactive widgets would make you much more easier to find on radar, and give your ship a slight glow.
High yield ore, precious metals would slow your ship down being that they would weigh a lot because they most likely would be really dense.
Weapon components could be integrated into your system for the sacrifice of a cargo slot, this would add more punch to the weapon, increase the speed, or decrease the reload time, depending on the component. Also, depending on the quality of the component, the component will burn out.
Precious metals could repair your ship for 30%, and scrap metal would repair for 2%, each.
Acidic thingy ma jigs sound like something to throw onto some one's ship for DOT damage.
The AGP clean all washer thing can be used to well, clean off acid fromyour ship.
Nanites could be used to for a short period of time boost your overall ship performance (maneuverability, energy, speed, weapon power, etc.)
