This is a pretty old idea, but it's a good one. You should be able to give other players a ship.
This would only work in a station, as, well, you can't give someone the ship you're in, it's physically impossible. So here's how it would work:

Person A: Hey B, I'll but that ship of yours for a mil
Person B: a mil? Seems reasonable for a ship you can't get in this system. Alright, one sec while I dock
Person A: Cool, I'll dock too.
Person B: Alright, if you don't give me my mil, I'll hunt you down ;)

Person A selects his ship and clicks on the "give ship" button, the types in "Person B" when it asks who to give it to. An error message shows up that says "Person B does not have the necessary licenses to fly this ship"

Person B: Sry, you don't have the right licenses
Person A: Rats, it's that darned combat level. 1 sec.

Person A kills a few assults and comes back

Person A: Alright, how about now?

Person A selects his ship and clicks on the "give ship" button, the types in "Person B" when it asks who to give it to. "Corvus Vulturous with two neutron blaster mkIIs successfully transfered to Person B"

Person B gives Person A 1000000 credits

Person B: ty for your patience!
Person A: np
