Current Guild Bank suggestions

Oct 22, 2007 Surbius link
After testing out the new Guild Bank feature, I found some annoying flaw(s).

Flaw 1) Only the Commander can set privileges.
Suggestion 1) The Commander needs to have the right to give Guild Bank privileges to whoever within the guild. For example, the Commander types in the name of a guild member (can be anyone from a Lt. to a regular member) and that member has the right to set privileges for the Guild Bank. This will help if the Commander is on a long absence of leave or the guild Treasurer (if there is one) needs access.

I'm sure there may be other flaws but they evade me. Any thoughts from the populace?

Guild storage of items?

Surb, there could simply be another title in the guild. Treasurer.
Granted and revoked as an Lt is now, but in stead of having admit/kick rights, he/she/it has all bank rights. A sort of Lt-in-charge-of-banking.

That works too.

I would not limit the title of Treasurer to one per guild, but rather is available to be given title to any number in the guild. In this way larger guilds could have better time zone coverages and always have one available.

The title would add the benefit of being visible to the other members when online, where as simple privileges would not.

Along the line of adding the title of "treasurer" to the guild structure, how about using that prototype web interface that Cunjo made? http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/6494?page=4#211076

That'd allow for trade-based guilds to use the more appropriate CEO/Board/Chair/Secretary/etc. set of titles instead of the more militaryish Commander/Lieutenant/Council set.

I remember reading somewhere that the eventula plan was to allow open guild structure that could be set up at the time of founding?

Yeah the amount columns (2) should be titled Debit and Credit.
