knock-off valks
Hey I have a stupid idea that serves my own interests. I might be kinda cool if one the stations that noone cares about like valent or aeolous, started makeing valks, but they are a little slower, have a little less armor, and have a little less thrust, so itani valks would still be the badasses they are but we sercos could play with weaker ones too without wasting 2 weeks killing 2000 bots. This could also be done for the prom.

Nobody cares about Aeolus? Jerk.
I see no problem with having a crappy version of the valk available at Aeolus or some other backwater station, same for the prom but then again I ain't never flown neither, ever. also why not throw in an even slower and more fragile version of the XC avaiable at a couple serco and itani stations, maybe also in odia.
Dude, you already have access to a mini-prom: Faction up Axia and get the Axia Guardian Wraith. It's a mini-prom. It even turns faster than a Prom.
For the Valk, either get yourself an Orion Centurion Rev C (equivalent to the Centurion IBG) or use a Corvus Marauder.
To choose a Nation is to choose your bonus nation-specific ship, and, by extension, to renounce the others. To choose is to renounce.
Besides, you can already create alts for each nation. Use it.
You can already faction up the nation from KOS. Yeah it's 800 bots till -599. And that is not 2 weeks, it's less than like 2 days.
No, I think this is a Bad idea.

I think you'll be able to fly actual valks once ships can be cargo crated and shipped to gray.

we already have knock-off valks. They're called Marauders.
And botting up from -1000 Itani is ridiculously easy... takes less than 2 hours in a kannik sector.

I think instead of knock off ships...(which isnt a terrible idea)...it would bemuch better to have a bigger selection of more customizable ships.
the nation ships need to be special so no. Do like i did and bot up your standing then trade
Aye, as has been stated, if you want a crappy valk get a maud. It is worse than the valk in every way except cargo capacity, but has the same port config.
If you want a crappy prom, get a revenant/axia wraith.

I am not against a knockoff valk, just for fun. But I don't see how it would add much that we don't already have.
While the valk is in a class of it's own, there are several ships that try to compete on the same level. The vult3, corvus merc, and to some extent, even the prom3.
Why do so many Sercos overlook the Prom3? It is a great ship and in many ways the perfect counter to a valk.

Then there's the whole "four-versions-of-the-Vulture-MkIV" thing we've got going with the MkIV, the SVG, the CV and the BioCom XT...
The Maud is not a "crappy" valk.
It's a slower version with more cargo. And it's really not that much worse in combat... certainly cheaper to fly, too.
