Hi - I tried the game for the first time last night.
While I was expecting slightly newer polished graphics, etc, I loved it.

I am dissuaded from subscribing and continueing to play because of the subscription fee. 10 US dollars isn't a lot of money in the big scope of things, but it's not very competitive. If the game was polished graphically and performance wise, i'd maybe expect to pay this much, but it just isn't there right now.

not looking to start a flame war, just sharing what has been my experience in checking it out.

well i dont get what you mean wow graphics are much much more ugly and they charge more I think

and about the graphics you should go in Options>graphic and turn full scene glow effect on and have everything maxed

and then go to Option>video and turn everything on exept texture compression and put shaders to 2.0 and antialiasing to 4

its gonna be choppy unless you have a 256 meg video card the game automatically sets itself for the best performance not the best visual experience that why its not so the first you boot it up :)

Well I wasn't referring to WoW specifically, but since you bring it up...

WoW looks nice. It's not all pixelated and the icons and graphics aren't low resolution. "much more ugly?" I don't think so. It's a beautiful game.

I have a solid machine and have all the graphics settings maxed out and it really doesn't look that great.

It's more the menus, text, icons, etc, than the environment and things i'm complaining about but it's all kinda lackluster. Probably good when it came out or something though.

There are many good reasons to subscribe to this game. Those reasons do not apply equally to every one. Some people should not subscribe to this game. The developers can not be everything to everyone, and must focus on a specific market. If you are not that market, then thank you for trying this game, and hope you check back again. cya.

Try downloading some of the player-made interface skins.

The VO environment graphics are actually a lot better than most games, and they're massively scaleable. It takes a beefy machine to run them maxed out, but it's worth it.

IMHO, interface eye-candy is always secondary to functionality. While I think the station interface leaves something to be desired there, in combat, where it matters, the minimal HUD is perfect for this kind of game.

This is about live combat, not point-and-click strategy.

Pixelated? I just don't see that.

I think something must be awry with your settings. Have a look at the screenshots
( http://www.vendetta-online.com/h/screenshots.html )
and let us know if your in-game graphics are equal or not.

If you're just talking about the menus, they're pretty much
temporary while the interface is being modified to accomodate new features. I tend
to spend more time in the ships than gazing at the menus, fortunately.

Criticisms regarding features, content, and number of players
are somewhat valid, but performance and graphics are pretty
good here.

if its pixelated go to Options > Video > Resolution = native screen resolution
or
Options > Video > texture resolution = high

it can affect your performance alot

but if your looking to make the game look nice then go with it
