Trading [items/money]

I'm sorry if this was mentioned, but i couldn't find the thread.
I was trying to buy a few weapons that I couldn't find anywhere close, and realized he had to "drop" the items but I had to give him money first. May I suggest to implement (in the future) a way to open a trade "window" which displays each players trade items or money.

Sorry, no.

You will continue to exchange items and/or credits in the same way you'd have to in the real world.

Perhaps this could be implemented only in stations, which would make more sense.

Or, then, a special equipment item would be necessary, say a drone that can be launched that ferries stuff from ship to ship. It is located in the cargo bay, takes up cargo space, and weighs a bit. Numbers that I thought up on Sunday at half past nine right after getting up are 2000 kg of mass and 5 cu of space.

Currently, all ships have cargo bays that can open in space, and this is a very important gameplay element, so this could work.

Oh, the drone is destructible and cannot move beyond a distance of 25m from your ship. It has limited carrying capacity (10 cu, they don't have to fit into the drone, it uses some kind of shopping netty thing), and its thrust is perhaps around 50N. Top speed 40 m/s, no turbo.

But you can trade stuff in space without having to drop it. Neat, huh?

Exchanging equipment at the stations sound perfect actually. It's safe as well and it makes way more sense. The drone idea is great, but it won't be necessary if the station idea gets implemented.

25m from the ship? Ha. At that range, I'll just pop you and then pop yer drone for the yummy stuff inside.

That was the idea of the post. It was not meant to be taken seriously.

A prime example of sarchasm perhaps? http://www.unwords.com/unword/sarchasm.html

Perhaps. Although I think that Lecter and I are beings different to a degree that we could be termed complementary.
