i think that there should be turrets placed on the belly of the cap ships as i noticed recently that enemy nations were able to hide at this location and still shoot at the cap ship. seems to be a bit of a blind spot.

nah, i think its already fine as it is now.
Though, i would really, REALLY, love it if they placed a turret inside the cap ships docking bay facing outside, that one would be extremely useful.

And what if someone like Roda Slane got in a Serco or Itani capship and killed anyone who tried to dock?

There are very many blindspots to Capital Ships, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
