a form of ship or basically a camera so that non-players, friends, or demoers can spectate and move around just like a ship except without physics limitations....
just like in defcon. Of course, the spectators will still be able to talk to the actual players.

The thing is, a lot of what goes on involves hiding from people, so a ship without physics limitations would kinda mess that up.

Hit F9 in space twice (preferrably with your own ship parked somewhere, but not docked).

No rolling, no jumping, no docking but I think it's pretty well-balanced.

Point taken. It now moves at about 60 m/s, I think. Perhaps twice that wouldn't be the worst idea.

It actually moves at some number of meters per rendered frame, so you go faster if you're looking away from stuff. Dumb.
