=HOLD IT!=
Allright, I have a suggestion:
Let's just stop giving more suggestions for now... If you have some good ones, write them down or something.
I think we need to give the devs a little break from all the 'new' suggestions and let them mellow out a little figuring out the remaining bugs and adding their own little tweaks.
That way things won't get too hectic for us or them and once we start suggesting stuff again the devs can make a fresh-like start with the suggestions because they've just finished tweaking the last little tweaks!
I think this also might speed up the actual public release to create that 'big universe population' everyone's so excited about. ;)

The Suggestions forum is our way of blowing off steam in the form of ideas of what we want the game to be, but isn't and probably wouldn't be in the near future. Take it away and then the Devs would just be emailed and assaulted with suggestions in game nonstop.
Then hold it with the emails! The suggestion is here that we stop suggesting in general. Not stop the forums and continue emailing. I'm saying leave the devs alone for a bit. Let them fix bugs before they add more to fix entering new ideas!
Maybe even just keep this forum running and let the devs ignore it for a while.

That's pointless. I'm sure devs can manage to stick to their priorities no matter how many suggestions are made. If there are bugs you can be certain devs are working on them.
Besides what if some suggestion is very easy to implement? Like colored cargo crates.

Orright, point made.
*jumps off a roid*
...dang the absense of gravity!

but without the forums...how would people attack people out of game?
I don't think Incarnate wants the suggestions to stop - after all, they just dropped in 2 new suggestions in the last update. Sometimes a new suggestion provides that "low hanging fruit" they're looking for.
I like the irony of suggesting that we all stop suggesting.
this thread is a dup. i already had suggested we stop suggesting based on fact most things ever suggested were dups or rehash of already-submitted items.
this one proves my point. :p, too.

I'm surprised the devs have been implementing our suggestions while maintaining their focus on the larger priorities.
mgl,
it is folly to believe simply because ideas pop up multiple times in the forums, each time posted by different people, that the suggestions forum is obsolete.
Instead, there should be a way to log the 'occurrences' of certain ideas, which would provide an interesting tool for the developers (the information provided by which they could still choose to discard).
In any case, let's not stop making suggestions, much less think about closing down the suggestions forum. The quibbles about duplicates and such are merely background noise and completely natural.

I suggest we categorize the topics, like how I include both PDA and HUD improvement topics in my HUD summaries. That way, all related topics are categorized, amalgamated and summarized. I suggest we create independent lists for ships, addons and physics. If you'd like to update such a list, please reply with details.
Cool, this is a step in the right direction. Like incarnate said, good thread idea, helps me out.

tosh, what i'm implying is that one or more people be responsible for accumulating suggestion by emails and serve as a filter for what goes on here.
if it's a new idea, a thread is created and people have a chance to discuss/develop/critique the idea.
if it's a dup, sender is gently forwarded to the nearest rtfm exit.

I disapprove of this suggestion.
"Folly" ..... such a great word :-)
I suggest we stop suggesting we stop suggesting... (cue infinite irony loop)

Thread necromancy for no good reason (folly) is generally frowned upon.
..so stop it!
>.<
>.<
Is humour a good reason?... because you are cracking me up ... lol!
Oh yes, and "necromancy" is another great word!
And on that bombshell, I shall cease my necromantic folly.
Incidentally... if "Duran Duran" made a come back, would they be necromantic?
