Another stupid ship suggestion....
I think it might be cool if there were a ship that was smaller than cap ships, but bigger than the ones we got now. it would have two people contolling it, one would fly and the other would control a 360 degree turret on the top of it with,I dunno say, 3 small weapons. the thing would be like a super awesome tranport thing, big and heavy. OK now shoot the idea down quick before it gets to that worm hole!

That sounds wavetastic. (?)
This would certainly allow players to work together. It would enhance, more than increase, player interaction.

wavy, the moth heavy already could offer precisely that. a two or 3-player ship. one driver, one or two gunners. it wouldn't require much to make it work.
however, there's an embargo on fun multiplayer stuff at the moment.
the keyword is "soon".

er... the point of the picture being?
what i was implying was that the moth heavy could *currently* be used as a small multi-player ship. it doesn't require funky navigation controls, funky docks, funky spawning.
just funky players willing to meet at a same station and board a ship bought and operated by someone else.

The Atlas was made to be an optionally two-person ship. In the old version, it used to have a little turret mounted on the top/rear that the passenger-player was intended to control. Then we had this like.. 5 year delay in parenting being implemented. Anyway, yes, it's something I've always wanted. Since uhh.. 97 or so. Good idea, we're getting there :).
Aw, crud, I almost forgot that TPG made all those capships...

For those curios how soon is "Soon(tm)"...

Or, "No problem, honey" soon.

thats probably the best thing i have ever seen ever.
Personally...I think it's a trap.
Seriously though I think that adding this will greatly improve the "pewpew" factor of VO.

Would that require a whole new tab?
Plus someone would have to buy the ship then invite a player to jump in.
Oh the possibilities are endless.

As it is now, it might be boring.
You hop in a buddy's moth as he makes a trade run thru grayspace. You encounter no resistance except bot pirates. Undaunted, you try heading thru Verasi C-2 with your turret finger itching, but yoda and friends are not there.
Ever tried riding a cappie from point A to point B? Yeah, boring. Maybe you can shoot at some 'roids.
My point is, we essentially already have/had this with HAC's and user-aimable turrets.
Perhaps 3-person Moth vs. 3-person Moth duels would be fun, but in general usage, I personally think it's a waste of programming time. Fix the whole standings and FF thing first. After Kourier is 100% rock-solid stable.
