Store and Recall targets by hotkey
Would it be possible to select a target, and then 'store' that target into a 'retrievable hotkey'? For example, I first target a transport, and assign it to key F4 by pressing 'shift F4'. I then go and and do the same with a second transport in the group, assigning it to F5. I then go and engage the escort, always checking up on the the transports (by pressing F4, which will target the transport stored there), and making sure I stay close to them, even loosening some shots at it if I get the chance. I'd be using the same on escort missions (except to quickly find out who needs my help most, and getting close to that ship), or to prioritize ships if I was to engage a group with my buddies (each one is assigned targets in a particular order, co-ordinating the attack).
This is of course not something I came up with myself, but one of the best thought-out features I enjoyed in the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games.

This would be really neat. I imagine that this would come in two commands(storetargetx and recalltargetx up to, say, 7) that you would be able to bind to whatever you would like. I'm not *entirely* sure that you can use F1/shiftF1 for recallx/storex, but you could definitely use 1 for recallx and ! for storex, or even a for recallx and l for storex(though that might be a bit weird to handle at first).
But yeah, cool idea.
